  • Well, in the VA, no. The white lines usually mean parking. And as long as there are no signs or anything, i don't see why you would get a ticket.
  • You cant get a ticket for parking on private property. The stop signs on a parking lot are just courtesy signs. You can run a stop sign on a parking lot. The store would have to file a complaint. The marked off area infront of a store is just to keep it clear for customers going in and coming out. No vehicle should be parked there. The police like parking their vehicles there when they need to make a store run. I would fight it in traffic court...and dont settle for a plea bargain. Plea bargains are evil. You just need to visit the area, and take some pictures of other vehicles parked in that zone. use them as evidence in your court case. its simple harrassment.
