As Nick said, it's probably for the alliteration. However, I think copy chameleon or copy parrot would be more accurate. ;)

When I have a cat I love and it dies, I try to get one exactly like the I had because I think it will be comforting to have the same "looking" cat around. I am on my 3rd orange tabby cat because of this. Looks may be similar but personalites sure do differ.
