The 2nd book Chamber of Secrets introduces a new character "Colin Creevey" as a muggle-born. In the 7th book Deathly Hallows Colin dies during the fight 4 Hogwarts. How does he get blood status (in 7th book) to go back to Hogwarts in the 1st place?

Wow, how did you ever pick that up? Colin Creevey was definitely Muggle-born, but he still attended Hogwarts in book seven. I may be missing something, but I think that this was a mistake made by Rowling.

But, you know how they were checking if people were Muggles? Maybe he lied and said others in his family have been wizards. It's a possibility.
