technically you could say I am a french canadian... i mean my heritage is french and I live in canada... and you could not pick me out of a crowd... and one of my good friends is maiti and she is one of the nicest people I know... i dont think there is any noticable characteristics about a french canadian like I said I am french and could never be spotted as french in a crowd

Hey I know this is an old question but why not answer it...I'm always up to brag about the french!;) Well I'm a little biased though...but honestly I feel that I fit in better with french canadians than anglo canadians(there are exceptions)but anglo canadians think and act different in some areas...and I can be a fun loving, crazy french girl at times and maybe a little to lively for some anglophones. So no offence to the english, but I just find the english culture and way of thinking a little more reserved.I feel like I can be more myself and at ease with the french. My apologies if this came accross as being racist in any way. That is not my intention!!! So I love french candians! Vive le Quebec!!!

Unfortunately yes. Many times they simply wouldn't speak to me, unless I spoke French to them. So I learned just enough, to get them to scream at me. Monge de la Merde e Morte. Or something like that.
