  • That depends on many factors that are unknown, the 2 most important being: -The laws specific to your locality (country, state, et cetera) -Whether or not the citation was issued while you were operating a motor vehicle Points are usually applied for moving violations only. However, in some U.S. states, non-moving violations may appear on a driving record without points. For example, in some states, a citation for being "drunk in public" may turn up on a driving record even though it is not a moving violation or vehicle related. I can only suppose this is done so that if a DWI or DUI turns up, there is an established "pattern" of the driver to have alcohol related problems which might translate into them being a hazard on the road. The underage drinking violation and/or any points associated may also be waived (removed from driving record) by the court provided it is a first offense and you agree to take driver improvement or drug/alcohol related courses. That is for the court to decide. I know that when I was a minor, I had to appear in court for a moving violation (a minor accident, not alcohol or drug related). The other party wanted my license suspend or revoked because I was "reckless". All I did was pull into traffic from a stop sign and they were actually cited with reckless driving even though the accident was still my fault. The judge let it slide with a no fine (only the court costs) and waived the points. I dressed nice for court and had no other violations or a record at all. He had, and this still surprises me, gotten a copy of my report card and noted that I was a good student which helped. I was polite to the judge and I indicated a willingness to take a driver improvement course. I ended up +3 points to my credit and a more educated driver. Some tips to consider if you have to go to court. :) I don't have enough information to answer the question, but I hope this still helps.
  • Not only do you get points on your license but you also get AB points.------3 pts
  • Fact from diction, truth from diction. Why worry about it now? You worry about how to land before you take off. You rolled the dice, crapped out, so just take what you get and be thankful you did not kill yourself or someone else driving when you should not have.
  • Yes and also effects your auto insurance.
  • I think you're missing the whole point of getting into trouble with underaged drinking. See you at AA.
  • I don't know the answer to that question, but I certainly hope it does. How irresponsible of you.
