  • The amount you get paid depends on the jurisdiction of the court in which you serve. However, as a rule, you don't get paid as much as you would if you were working at a real job. The amount is set by the government that pays for the court.
  • I got called for Jury Duty in Iowa three years ago, and they offered me $14 a day.
  • I did jury duty (in the city) about three years ago and loved it! However - we were paid $39/day (Australian). It cost me $30/day in petrol and $17/day in parking fees. It took roughly 90min to get there in the morning and at least 2 hours to get home at night. Add say $10/day for lunch & drinks. The trial went for five days.
