In the Sims 2 University expansion pack, how can I buy cell phones and MP3 players for my adult Sims who live in Pleasantville?

Simply head out without a sim into downtown or one of the community areas and place a vending machine (I don't exactly remember what it's called) in the store. Then take your sim there and they'll be able to buy the cell phone and MP3 player.

Okay. Go into Pleasantview in your neighborhood selections. Once you're there go into Lots & Houses mode. That's the only way to play a community lot that I know of. Then once you're in Lots & Houses mode click on the lot where you want the player to be available. Once the description box comes up with buttons on it, click the Enter Lot button. After the lot has loaded, go into Buy Mode. Click the Community Sort button. Then click the Shopping button. What you want is the Sellafone Kiosk. It's 2500 simoleans. Once you've selected it, place it on the lot. Make sure to save the game after or it wont be there when you revisit the lot with your sim. Then to buy the player, click on your lot with your sim and click the kiosk and click on buy. A menu will come up and you select the player. I know Answerbag can't guarantee this but I can because I have all the expansion packs plus I've done it a million times.
