  • I don't know but I guess it's because It's unstable because of the amount of PSI it is recieveing and it needs something to hold it back.(and when you bring it down the pressure decreases) example, firehoses, wobble around if they arent held down by the fireman.
  • A plumber can install a thing that will fix it in ten minutes make the call
  • The problem of pipes banging in the walls when the water is running is NOT water hammer. It is because pipes tend to wiggle as the water passes through them as you may have seen in fire hoses. If the pipes are not secured in the wall, the wiggle grows in resonance with the characteristics of the pipe. Very soon the pipe wiggle is resonating in the wall making the pipe bang against the interior of the wall. The fix is to secure the pipe to the interior of the wall with a pipe strap to the studs. If there was originally a strap, it has come loose and must be tightened or replaced. If a strap is not possible, anything to hold the pipe still and secure within the wall will prevent the banging. Water hammer arrestors will NOT fix this problem.
