That depends on which admin password you're talking about. An OS admin pass or the bios admin pass. If it's the bios, you can reset by shorting the clear cmos pins on the mobo, using the jumper cap they place on one pin there. If it's in the OS, you need to be a bit more specific on what you're running. For all we know it could be one of several flavours of Linux or different versions of windows.
Windows Password Rescuer can perfectly reset dell password.

If your system is Windows 7/vista/xp,you can use Windows Password Rescuer Personal/Professional.
If your system is Windows 2008/2003/2000,you can choose Windows Password Rescuer Advanced.
I know a safe way to reset the password and it need no reinstalling Windows. This utility called Windows Password Seeker which has been recommended at about.com. You can Google Windows Password Seeker or download it. It can retrieve almost all Windows passwords in seconds.
