What makes it possible for a fly to walk on the ceiling?

they have small hairs on the bottom of their feet.
The small hairs will adhere to smooth surfaces through surface tension

They have tiny suction cups on their feet.

They have tiny hairs on their feet, like gekkos. But they don't use surface tension. It's an actual molecular bond on a micro scale.
