Help answer this question below.
To answer your question. No you do not have the right to shoot anyone unless there is reason you feel your life is in danger. If this person has his hands full of your tv he is not threatening you with a weapon. If you have a weapon the only one in danger is the robber.
You can try to detain him by telling this person you will shoot them but if you act on this threat you will be charged with a crime pending the outcome of the situation.
The best you can do is write down every detail from hair color to height and color of clothing and be as descriptive as possible to hand to the police so they can search and find this person. Or you can follow the person at a safe distant and informed the police what you are doing via cell phone.
Not a good idea he might drop my TV!
err.. no! That's just stupid, and won't help at all.

no, your not going to kill just for a tv. call police.
i cant and i also wont. i would rather lose a tv than live with the guilt all my life of having shot somebody.
let alone the law that will come after me. i don't want to end up in jail thank you.
besides, he can have our tv. its old, it randomly turns itself off in the middle of shows, it goes black and white when i try to watch longer than 2 hours, and its just a very very old crappy thing.
no i dont think that would be a good idea. could you live with the guilt? id probably kick him right where it would hurt the most though lol
but do you have the right to shot him?
I want to watch tv in my room but live in halls with only one aerial point which is in the kitchen can I do this wirelessly?

You're reading Someone breaks into your house, you catch him on his way out with your T.V., you know that's all he wants. Can you shoot him?
