It may be a bit different now days.....But I do know a place that still has one or two around. And there not even electric....Plus I know two places that still use the old cash registers that have that old handle along side of them......Can you re-call them? I sure can...............M.C.S.
No... You have to have a backup in case the computers go down! (Though with most being PCs now...) LOL
we have one laying around in accounting for the occasional typed form...
not every thing works from a computer most efficiently...
Yes I would. I see no reason to have a typewriter anymore, other than for nostalgia reasons ofc.
No I would not find it surprising as even some of the most high-tech places have typewriters to fill out forms, etc.

You're reading Eventhough we live in an age where computers are EVERYWHERE, would you find it strange if you saw 1 typewriter in an office, but MOSTLY computers?

They were made somewhere back in the early 1900's. I'll have to take a look next time I stop by one of the two places & see what the Pat: Number on them is dated at.
