Help answer this question below.

For those of you who are unemployed and really need a job, how do you make it through the day? I freak out everyday I don't hear back from a place I applied to, because I don't know how long I'm going to be unemployed.

Spend a lot of time looking for work when I'm unemployed. It actually takes my mind off how bad things are when there's no work. I go to parks and walk on the trails whenever I have time that I'm not looking. Riding a bike is good too.

Don't feel bad about being out of work when someone smuggly points out that they are working. Employers will drop you in a second if there is the slightest bump or ripple in the economy or if their business doesn't do extremely well.

That is some pretty stressful sh**. My last job only lasted as long as the current movie was shooting so as soon as it was done, you had to scramble to find the next gig. When the writer's strike was on, work was pretty slim, glad I saved my pennies!

- Certainly can be. But all the time you're on a hellish shoot you can't wait till it's over, then when it is over you are all stressed out and hoping one of your contacts calls you soon with the next one. Took some getting used to :)

I am so in the same boat. I really need a job too, and have been looking. I keep myself busy during the day. thankfully I have a pass at the gym and workout everyday. Only problem is I am getting too big and working out too much.

- I tried to fill my time by reading books and watching all my dvds. Now I'm tired of reading and am loosing interest in my dvds. So I've decided that I'll do what you are doing, and exercise all the time. There's no reason for me to get chubby when I've got all the free time to go exercise. We could also start volenteering.

- Yeah i thought about volunteering. But I keep thinking I'll get a job soon. For now I just go to the gym and workout, keeps me busy and not thinking too much.
