  • In my opinion, the healthiest food to eat is food made from fresh ingredients, and made from scratch by your own hands. If you eat meat, then shop around and try different butchers. Ask questions about where the meat is from, how it was raised, and where it was butchered... choose the butcher that knows the most about the meats he or she sells. Sample questions: were the animals raised in factories? Were they allowed to roam around outside? Where they treated with hormones and antibiotics? Same questions for fish and fowl. There is a growing trend to eat "live foods", this means uncooked, and in the case of nuts and seeds, sprouted. Though cooking via fermenting the foods is considered okay. A salad is an example of a "raw recipe", however, it is possible to build completely balanced meals using many more ingredients than you'd usually find in a salad. • the healthiest foods to eat are almost always going to be organic. stay away from deep fried foods and sugar. you may buy food from the store that is low fat but has a high sugar percentage... dont eat it. the trick that is coming out is high fructose syrup these days. to know what is really a good diet.. iam not talking atkins or any weightwatchers.... lower your sugar intake. one way is too have only one day to eat sugar out of the week. my personal advice is just give it up. i did in november and lost 20 lbs. sugar has no nutritional value at all! EAT lots and lots of fruit and veggies. have a suagar craving? eat an orange.
  • Brocoli is apparently the only food found that has nothing bad about it (except the taste)
  • You want to avoid all processed and deep fried foods and stick to fruits/vegetables/whole grains/poultry/lean meat. Here are a few great foods that help: Oatmeal, yogurt, cranberries, sip 1 cup of coffee a day (you want 250 mg of caffeine so tea would work also), salmon, turkey, crab or other shellfish, onions, artichokes, ginger, broccoli, spinach, squash, garlic, apricots, avocados, raspberries, cantaloupe, tomatoes, raisins, figs, lemons/limes, grapefruit, and whole grain breads and pastas. This is just a small list but a major of the important foods are on here. Hope this came in handy.
