How low do you let your gas tank get before filling up? Usually for me its about 3/4 empty, then I stop for gas.

Usually until I am a drip away from empty.

I wait until I can not wait any longer. My van has a screen that tells you exactly how many miles you can drive until you are out of gas. It's nice, and I have used it on many occasions when I did not want to stop.

Our car also has a sensor, like Chas 1908, and it won't let us run out of gas, with doing a lot of complaining first. We can see exactly how far the remaining fuel will take us, and stop in plenty of time.
