Well yes, But when you shoot down a ballon you get a normal present like a piece of furniture. When I shot down an alien ship, the alien came out and game me a really wierd alien kinda toilet statue.So it's practically the same only you get different presents.

If you shoot down a UFO, a bird named Gulliver will come out of it, and when you talk to him, he will ask you to find the missing parts to his space ship. If you give him all the parts, he will give you a piece of rare furniture: it is usually a statue of a famous landmark, like the leaning tower of piza.
