Why may I call you a prick or a dick with reasonable impunity, but you get very upset when I call you a cunt? Surely genitalia is genitalia whatever the gender?

it is the age old gender amplification theory. Man has traditionally been the "ruler" in human culture (sans Amazons) and therefore there is a sense of pride in having a dick or a prick that being called one seems to be more socially acceptable. Kind of a wierd tangent I'm not sure you wanted this question to go, but it is a plausable theory.

i dont know the answer to this, but just want to say, in some foreign cuontries, the biggest insults start off with 'your mother's'
