I've heard some people say that Danish sounds like you're choking on your own tongue. Do you agree?

Never having actually heard someone choke on their own tongue I'd nevertheless lean towards a "no". But why don't you listen for yourself? Try visiting www.dr.dk which is the Danish state TV and radio. It should be fairly easy to find soundbites there.

nah, i think ive only heard one person speak danish (wink wink) but that was only abit..and it sounded pretty cool to me :)

i have never heard anyone speaking danish. i mean i may have and not recognized that it was danish. have you ever heard arabic? people tell me it sounds so harsh when i speak it.

I dont think so, i like a lot of Danish music, it sounds like a lovely language <3 German on the other hand...Sounds like One is trying to spat in the middle of a word XD

As long as you don't talk about mashed up strawberries and cream, you'll be fine. LOL. (Jeg var et aar paa hoejskole i Danmark.) And to any native speakers of English who run into a Dane who makes you try to pronounce roed groed med flode -- you can get 'em back by making them say refrigerator in English. LOL.
