  • I desperately wish I'd made a video of an ad I saw on TV in New Zealand a decade ago. It went on for about a minute and all you saw was a bottle production line with a guy standing watching all the standing bottles go past. After about 55 seconds you see one of the bottles on its side, and the guy stands it up. The caption was "Stay in School."

  • No one owes you a living. School gives you a broad background, to give you a chance to try anything that takes your fancy. If you want to leave school now, all you have to do is prove that you will never be a burden to society. In fact, prove that school gets in your way. The easiest way to do this in our modern world is to make heaps of money, to the point where it physically costs you too much money to stay in school, and every time you Really need to know something you can afford to pay some one else to teach you out of your own pocket. There may be other ways, but I can't think of them now. To leave school with no idea on how to support yourself is just simple minded foolishness, and only proves that you need more schooling! Our system actually has a bit of mercy for fools but the fools never see it. Currently, in America, millions of people are going bankrupt / losing their homes, because they weren't good at maths. Others were good at maths but didn't put enough effort into using it. Over here, millions of people work hard for little in return: partly because they 'have no balls', and partly because they are no good at maths. Yes, it takes more than just good schooling to get anywhere in this world, but don't make it easy for the conmen, crooks and swindlers, eh?!!
