  • The odds don't change...they are the same as they are on any other roll, doesn't matter how many times in a row red came up.
  • Odds don't change at all - Think of it like this - if you flip a coin 99 times in a row and each time it landed heads, what are th odds the next flip will be tails? 50%
  • I know the answer is *supposed* to be that it's 50/50, but it feels like it should be infinitely tiny, because you're one away from 100 red in a row, which has a chance of, what, 1 in 2^100, if i remember math right? Statistics was made up to confuse me, i swear.
  • Every spin is a new game and the odds remain the same. IF there were no green zeros then it would be 50/50. The odds are better at European Roulette with only ONE green zero, as opposed to American Roulette with a ZERO and a DOUBLE ZERO. If you see red come up 99 times in a row, either bet on red or move to another table. I would hope that you would start betting on red after ten consecutive spins.
  • the odds remain the same.. Just under 50/50 because of the Zero & ZeroZero slots. That is why you get paid even money on it because the casino has a little spread in there to make money!
  • The odds for red to come up 99 times ina row are unbelievable. If that happens then the game is most definately fixed, i'd say.
  • I understand how you are confused. but did you realize that a 1/2^99 chance event just happened? does it surprise you if a 1/2 chance event happens to make an 1/2^100 chance event happen?
  • At some point either 99,999,9999,99999 odds have to tilt towards black otherwise these impossible streaks would actually occur. That is why there is a betting limit.
  • In theory, just under 50% (the green "0" and "00") do not count as either black or red. However, given that the odds of red turning up are 600 billion billion billion to 1 (that's a 6 followed by 29 zeros), in reality the roulette wheel is almost certainly fixed and the probability that black will come up on the next play is zero. . . .
  • I'm thinking that squeaky wheel needs some grease.
  • Ah, if you were asking the odds of red coming up 100 times in a row, it would be massive. As it is, it is still just under 50%, as you are only asking if it will be black or red next turn. Yes my answer sounds confusing, but if you think about it, it makes sense xD
  • 44.5% And then it only pays 2:1 odds, a 5.5% house edge. Good luck. And if you happened to be letting a dollar ride on red that whole time you'd have $316,912,650,057,057,350,374,175,801,344. And probably been kicked out of the casino long ago.
  • who cares ud be a millionare for red hitting 99 times.
  • that depends on which color you bet on because obviously the tables rigged to have come up red 99 times in a row.
  • A roulette ball/spin has no memory! The odds remain the same at 50-50 (unless '0' comes in).
  • Trick Question .... The answers given would claim that the odds are roughly 50/50 ... but think about it.... 99 red in a row.... I would bet on red ... the assumption of a "fair game" is statistically way out of range.... history does matter... thats how they test machines for fairness....
  • The same as always with roulette. Green (OO) could come up. As a R.Player I would be betting big time on black though, 50 bets or so ago, so is it any wonder I always lose.(I would have lost 49 times already)
