  • The odds don't change...they are the same as they are on any other roll, doesn't matter how many times in a row red came up.

the odds remain the same.. Just under 50/50 because of the Zero & ZeroZero slots. That is why you get paid even money on it because the casino has a little spread in there to make money!

Odds don't change at all - Think of it like this - if you flip a coin 99 times in a row and each time it landed heads, what are th odds the next flip will be tails? 50%

Well everyone here is correct. True odds are about 1 in 2 (less 0 and 00). But, on the other hand, 99 reds in a row would be possible.

Where I live, there is a daily lottery that draws 20 numbers out of a possible 70. You choose to bet on 2 numbers and up. The chances that 2 numbers are drawn together is: (20/70) * (20/70) = 8.1633%

I started keeping statistics on all possible pairs that are drawn day after day and found out that some pairs can go up to 125 days before being drawn (never found a longer time laps in 5 yrs).

I now bet on pairs that have gone at least 100 days since last drawn. The odds that a pair goes 100 days is 8.1633% power of 100 = 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001535999% but it definetly happens.

    See Banco Lottery in Canada.

Have fun and be carefull of double ups LOL

A roulette ball/spin has no memory! The odds remain the same at 50-50 (unless '0' comes in).

Ah, if you were asking the odds of red coming up 100 times in a row, it would be massive. As it is, it is still just under 50%, as you are only asking if it will be black or red next turn.

Yes my answer sounds confusing, but if you think about it, it makes sense xD

The odds for red to come up 99 times ina row are unbelievable. If that happens then the game is most definately fixed, i'd say.

Every spin is a new game and the odds remain the same. IF there were no green zeros then it would be 50/50. The odds are better at European Roulette with only ONE green zero, as opposed to American Roulette with a ZERO and a DOUBLE ZERO. If you see red come up 99 times in a row, either bet on red or move to another table. I would hope that you would start betting on red after ten consecutive spins.

I know the answer is *supposed* to be that it's 50/50, but it feels like it should be infinitely tiny, because you're one away from 100 red in a row, which has a chance of, what, 1 in 2^100, if i remember math right?

Statistics was made up to confuse me, i swear.

Trick Question .... The answers given would claim that the odds are roughly 50/50 ... but think about it.... 99 red in a row.... I would bet on red ... the assumption of a "fair game" is statistically way out of range.... history does matter... thats how they test machines for fairness....

In theory, just under 50% (the green "0" and "00") do not count as either black or red.

However, given that the odds of red turning up are 600 billion billion billion to 1 (that's a 6 followed by 29 zeros), in reality the roulette wheel is almost certainly fixed and the probability that black will come up on the next play is zero.

At some point either 99,999,9999,99999 odds have to tilt towards black otherwise these impossible streaks would actually occur. That is why there is a betting limit.

I understand how you are confused. but did you realize that a 1/2^99 chance event just happened? does it surprise you if a 1/2 chance event happens to make an 1/2^100 chance event happen?

44.5% And then it only pays 2:1 odds, a 5.5% house edge. Good luck. And if you happened to be letting a dollar ride on red that whole time you'd have $316,912,650,057,057,350,374,175,801,344. And probably been kicked out of the casino long ago.

that depends on which color you bet on because obviously the tables rigged to have come up red 99 times in a row.

The same as always with roulette. Green (OO) could come up. As a R.Player I would be betting big time on black though, 50 bets or so ago, so is it any wonder I always lose.(I would have lost 49 times already)
