  • It bothers me that stupidity (idiocy) is entertainment.
  • I don't find them disturbing, no. I wouldn't let my daughter watch Family Guy until she was older, though.
  • Not at all. They're funny. Anyways nobody is forcing you to watch them
  • They are quite edgy, aren't they? And they call this family entertainment? They are a sign of the times that we live in. When I was little, "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons" were the prime time family cartoons.
  • ...no. they are cartoons. Of course they are alittle derogitory sometimes. But that is why you understand the difference between vulgar humor and reality. ...My daughters favorite TV show is the simpsons, LOL. OF course its alittle off, but she knows the difference between right, wrong...and humor. She thinks its funny, but all in the same doesnt talk that way, act that way...think that way. She just sees it as entertainment. Same with me. Its your perspective on it, and its good for what it is. I find them both to be freakin halarious... and simpsons used to have a real good moral behind each show. ...the same goes with southpark, there is always a good moral behind an episode.
  • If someone finds those shows disturbing, then they have a big shocker waiting for them when they get out in the real world.
  • After I became a mom and had to deal with more stress and pressure in my life, I realized that a mindless show like Family Guy allows me to just zone out. Since it's a cartoon, I do not expect them to be politically correct or to do the right thing. I'm not looking to learn a lesson from the Griffin Family :)
  • Actually I like the simpsons + 5
  • The disturbing thing that I found with 'Family Guy' was once it came back after cancellation. They had changed slightly, and were doing more things simply to try and shock people. Namely the numerous jokes/gags dealing with rape... which can't be all that funny to people who have experienced it.
