I've been trying to lose about 10 pounds and thought I'd try weight watchers flex plan to help me out, instead of counting calories. I try and exercise but the 10 pounds wouldn't budge. I was constantly starving in weight watchers, so one day I followed the 21 points I got, but then also calculated my calories...it only came up to 1100!!! No wonder I was hungry, with my activity level my basal metabolic rate is about 1600 for just mantenance. No one should EVER drop their intake to below 1200 without a physician's approval. So basically I was creating a deficit of 500 calories, per day!! Not including exercise. That's just not healthy. So imho opinion, the points plan isn't what it's cracked up to be, I think the core plan would be a better option for someone like me.
