Question

Help answer this question below.

I need to put new flooring in living room/dining room and hallway and was deciding narrowed it down to laminate flooring that looks like wood or ceramic tile. I was wondering which floor would hold up the best?

Tile is most certainly the one that would hold up the best, but is usually more expensive to install as opposed to laminate flooring.

Ceramic tiles are very hard wearing but very, very cold underfoot.

Get a good quality laminate (the best you can afford) and it will last (of course, like anything, you have to look after it to a certain extent).

Are you doing it yourself? My husband did our tile floor- he didn't seal it right away and it stains. Our laminate (www.floormall.com) is nigh indestructible and looks great after years of wear and tear. Laminate flooring that looks like wood is what we chose, and I think it looks better than the real tile, let alone laminate tile.
