Isn't half the point of pretzels that they are salty and crispy, so why do they sell unsalted pretzels?

I agree. Unsalted pretzels fall into the same category as decaf coffee and light beer. Why bother really?

They sell the unsalted pretzels for the old guys like me who are told to reduce their salt intake. Previously I was told not to drink, not to smoke, not to use sugar, and not to get excited. I'm waiting for the day when I am told not to swear because that is day when I tell these witch doctors to go (you can fill in the blanks).:(:(:(

I'm not a big fan of salt. If unsalted are available I will choose them. Salt makes me retain water like nobody's business.
