I think it is because of jealousy. I wear them everyday and don't even own jeans. I do stand out when I am the only one wearing a dress. It really breaks my heart when girls complain about wearing dresses. It is the best part about being a girl. When I get laughed at, I just laugh back. I know that I am not missing for one minute the joys of being a girl.

I think i adore girls in skirts, they have sexy legs and the panties are close by. so i don't know why somebody should look at you funny. I apreciate a woman in skirts

If we are God fearing people we would follow the scripture of Deuteronomy 22:5 as the bible is very clear on how men and woman should dress also 1 Timothy 2:9 I would like to add:
I have been saved for about a year now and have not been out of a skirt since. I strongly believe in the scriptures of Deuteronomy 22:5, and 1 Timothy as well as all of Proverbs 31. Knowing how hard it was to find a skirt that was considered to be modest apparel. I took all of the jeans I owned and converted them into skirts. Since then my 14 year old daughter and I have been making skirts in all different sizes for other woman in the church. It has been a great growth experience for us not only in faith but in fellowship together. We have posted all of the skirts that we have made...check them out on Etsy.com this is an awesome site for homemade things....Anything!!! Check it out. You will find us under key words Long... I prefer to see women in skirts and dresses, though jeans on occassion are certainly ok too, just not all the time.
Personally, I wish men could wear skirts. I have a kilt (Utilikilt) that I wear around the house, but because it is not acceptable around here, I'd never wear it out. It is a lot more comfortable than shorts.

I don't look at girls funny when they wear skirts or dresses. I hardly even get looked at funny when I wear short skirts, pantyhose, and high heels while out and about as a guy, so I can't imagine too many girls have a problem.

I personally think it is great if a girl wants to wear skirts and dresses all the time. It shows she is proud of who she is and is not trying to be something she isn't. Also, god bless your bf for serving our country.

Perhaps this is just because I live in a rural area where there is a significant population of Mennonites, but I don't find it strange at all. And besides, who really cares? I never wear dresses because I like pants/shorts better. It's just a personal preference and one that doesn't terribly affect other people any more than the choice of wearing a vest over your shirt or no vest.

The premise of the question strikes me as odd. Skirts and dresses are common enough, so the sight of one shouldn't raise any eyebrows. I'm male and I enjoy wearing skirts and dresses (mostly skirts). As for "all the time" - who is counting?? I mean, how many people inspect what you wear everyday with the idea of keeping track? Perhaps it is not how often you wear skirts or dresses, but the occasions on which you wear them. For example, I won't wear a skirt or dress if I'm going to be climbing anything, so that my slip or panties don't show.

i wear a skirt or dress 6 days of the week and don't think i'm being naive but i've never gotten looks from anyone because of it. most girls seem to opt for dresses or skirts around here.

Good answer! I agree with you. I don't believe in wearing pants either. My grandma thinks I am crazy for it, but oh well. It is nice to see another girl that thinks the same way! I just tell people that I don't believe in wearing them! In the Bible it says that women are not to wear that which pertaineth to a man. Duet. 22:5. And the way I see it, that means pants. : )

That is so nice. I will be honest though. My not wearing pants has nothing to do with the bible. I actually wear dresses and skirts that the bible thumpers would frown on. I don't dress trashy but I don't dress conservative either. I only wear skirts and dresses because I love being really feminine. I am also too physically weak to do any sports or any tomboy activities. I prefer to keep it that way. It doesn't make much sense for a girl who loves wearing dresses to have muscular arms. I actually refuse to participate in anything that will build arm strength.

I love skirts and dresses. they can look so so pretty, delicate and feminine.
when others may ask me about my preferences i just say "because i like them (skirts/dresses)".
and people eventually stopped asking and accepted me to the best to their ability as i am.

Absolutely. I enjoy being a woman and dressing like a woman. A nice dress or skirt can make feel so feminine, and I enjoy that feeling.
