In Tom Sawyer (or was it Huckleberry Finn?) the boys used 'spunk water' as a cure for warts. What did your English teacher tell you spunk water was? And did you think they were right?

I live in the town Mark Twain grew up in. Don't you ever think they let us forget it. My english teacher said "spunk water" was the water that collected in a tree stump that had a hollow spot. I have never actually seen it, but thats what he said.. And no one else on here seems to know what it is.. and I know for a fact its mentioned in Tom Sawyer, but I have yet to be force fed Huckleberry Finn..
