Question

Help answer this question below.

When going around a right handed curve, my car feels like it jerks right...almost as if something is loose. It doesn't do it to the left. Could this be a tie rod end?

What kind of car? A little more info would help.

Edit: Every reference I can find on these cars lists tie rod ends as a problem. It does it more to the right due to the natural torque of the engine and drive train. Take it to a reputable front end shop, (not like Wal-mart or Big O) and have it checked out. If quality parts are used it should perform well for you for for several thousand miles.

    Edit:

Tie rod ends can't be adjusted. Most of the info I have seen on this car showed a tie rod end problem at around 25,000 miles. If repair facility purchases parts from a reliable source ( NAPA for instance, not Autozone), they should be of good quality and will likely outlast original.

    Edit:

Chilton's does publish a manual that has some info on your car, it's a little pricey as it is a service manual for several makes. Check this link. http://www.themotorbookstore.com/importauto.html

Can they adjust the tie rod ends or tighten them? The car has 39,000 miles on it. I wouldn't think they should already need tie rod ends. Daewoo of korea had actually went bankrupt and some dealers in the US. I am sure parts would be an on order type of thing. Could I change the tie rods to another brand?
