Help answer this question below.

My daughters Toshiba laptop shutdown while it was running,could not make it come back on.I purchaed a new battery and power supply.Battery came in yesterday,put in compurter, turned on made it to windows then the computer shutdown,now

    One other thing that SO many people don't know. It is so simple and obvious that even I myself forget it. Batteries usually don't ship charged. You never stated that you fully charged the battery before trying it so I HAVE to bring that up.

    Another thing that'll shut down a PC (laptop or desktop) is overheating.

    I have this problem with my Toshiba - my son tells me it is quite common. I bought a fan thing to sit underneath and now that it keeps cooler it happens far less. The other thing is to give it a good blow and get the dust out from underneath.....not the answer you wanted I know but it might help.
