Yes, but AB won't live to see it.

Very interesting question! Although I'm sure that there are already thousands of unanswered questions here that get buried as time goes on... I wonder what the rate is for addition of questions per day? Anyone know?

Yes, the second tuesday of next week!!

1) I suppose this day already came in the early beginning of AB where they asked the first few questions and they were quickly answered. 2) Today, there are about 2638 pages of each 15 questions which have never been answered, this makes about 39,570/705,353 or 5.6% unanswered questions. (I took 705,353 as an approximation for the total number of questions, it is the ID of this very question) This looks like a relatively high proportion of unanswered questions. However, not many people like to answer very old questions because it seems that a lot of their askers are no more active. For newer questions, you expect at least the feedback of the asker. Moreover, many of those questions are not easy to answer. And I am sure that there have been also some questions which have become one or more replies, but never a satisfactory answer! But that is another story... 3) If we had a lot of users investing time and energy in answering old questions, the number of unanswered old questions could be reduced. And possibly all the questions that have been asked until today could be answered some day in the future. Anyhow, even if we could reduce the number of unanswered questions, as long as questions are beeing asked, the last question are always unanswered, even if it is for a short time.
