Details: "A girl in Louisiana was expelled from school for giving another student a Midol in violation of the state's zero tolerance policy for drugs in schools. The girl also has to complete a 6-week drug rehab program. The school said it was bound to do so according to the state and school policy. The mother agreed that the daughter violated the rule, but said the punishment was too harsh. They appealed to the school board and lost." "Zero tolerance" in all its forms is a ridiculous concept. It's unethical and inhumane. All laws and rules need a human factor to judge the circumstances of a violation. If justice was that simple to achieve we could as well cut court systems out of the loop and have people shot on the spot for every little mishap.

I've said it before, uniform laws and regulations for nonuniform rule breaking will always result in problems.
