Without your existing record and fingerprints, you would not be viewed as a possible suspect. These records are permanent not only on the local and state level, but also on the federal level.

Everything that you have done. rather it be legal or not that is documented is recorded and stays on your record forever. For example if you are arrested for stealing a car and then found out that you were innocent. both the arrest and the court documents will be in your record. Once documentation is placed on your record it stays.

If I remember from watching television and news the length of time is based on the statute of Limitations which I think is 7 years. Good question +4pts. =)
