  • Good question. Somebody thought that would be an appropriate place for it apparently. I agree that it is poorly placed.
  • Self-Injury/Self-Harm are called many things -- self-inflicted violence, self-injury, self-harm, para-suicide, delicate cutting, self-abuse, self-mutilation (this last particularly seems to annoy people who self-injure). Broadly speaking, self-injury is the act of attempting to alter a mood state by inflicting physical harm serious enough to cause tissue damage to one's body. Both are almost the same the difference is what the person wishes to obtain as a specific result. It could be a mistake to have them under "suicide" or perhaps they're there as both actions can or may lead to involuntary suicide. If separated from suicide they should have their own category same as Bulimia or Anorexia. Regards.
