I am not Catholic so I am not knowledgeable about the differences among them. :)

John Allen Pallos, cause he has the name of famous athiest mathematician.

The last Pope John Paul because my neighbor looked exactly like him and I had some good times with that.

I only really knew John Paul 2 so I would have to say him. He did lots of good for the Catholic Church during his tenure and he is deeply missed.
-
John XXIII, I (or Sr.)
-
I dont like any of them.
-
Certainly not the present one. I'm partial to some of the early Leos. :o)
-
Mine was John Paul II.
-
Pope Pius X rocked the house!!
-
Probably John XXIII (Woot! Let's hear it for the Second Ecumenical Council of the Vatican! woot!) Least favorite? Alexander VI, member of the corrupt Borgia clan, father of the infamous Lucrezia Borgia, and all around perv. Thanks a lot, Alex, for giving people for centuries to come reasons to despise Catholicism. Sure, you were a product of the time, but even for the fifteenth century you sucked.

Oh, without any doubt Saint John XII. He set the modern standard for all Popes. His saintliness has been imitated but most of them, but never matched.
-
Either John Paul II or one of the renaissance popes - for different reasons
-
pope john paul the second. i met him when i was a little girl,it was kind of sureal.
-
John Paul II He was more like a grampa than a pope. He had that cool charm to him.
-
I am most familiar with Karol Wojtyla, so I would have to say him.

From the past popes my favorite was John Paul II, he had the privilege of an innocent look in his face and eyes, he was like a child and his kindness was great. We Catholics owe him very much for all he did for our Church and faith. As John Paul II is not with us anymore I will say I do like Pope Benedict XVI. He is a very knowledged person and has the necessary strength to handle the Catholic Church with a solid strong hand. I know many things are changing and many more will change in a near future. Said changes will be good for the Catholic Church and for us Roman Catholics. Regards.

Jesus! My 2 cents.
-
John XXIII the 1st He was a pirate before becoming pope
-
Saint Peter. Anyone who can mess up as much as he did and then still make a beautiful contribution to the Church of Jesus Christ is a wonderful role model for sinners like me. With love in Christ.
-
JP2...

So far in my life and the popes before, I would say the current pope is very good and will probably be my favorite until another comes along that I like more which I doubt. Benedict 16 makes decisions faster and moves the Church more decisively with a strong hand and a clear vision.

There has been one great one in my life. John Paul II. But, if Benedict XVI gets to hang around a little longer he may ultimately do more good for the church by providing a steady, traditional hand, and taking out a whole heap of trash that has been stinking up the church for far too long. Especially in the maverick American church. We seem to have forgotten the meaning of the word obedience. To which I say. Bring it on Benedict...We've had enough it is time to clean this house out.

Without any doubt Saint John XII. He set the modern standard for all Popes. His saintliness has been imitated but most of them, but never matched. If you are a good catholic you should read about his holy deeds and imitate him.
