they send you back to level one if you change your email???

I bet if you emailed staff, they could straighten it out for you.

I changed my email address on AB last week and wasn't sent back to level one. Please contact the staff through the "feedback" link at the bottom of the page and tell them what happened.

Yes, I did change my email address here. It's a Yahoo to Yahoo kind of change, maybe that's why nothing happened to my account.

sounds like you made a new account - which would leave you at ground 0 Yes, I looked at your profile - it says "Member Since: Oct 8, 2008" - looks like a new account to me +3 to get you going

If you have a problem with your profile, access that profile, and scroll to the bottom of the page, click on "feedback". Then scroll down to the comment section and explain what happened.

Sounds like you created a new account, rather than updating your old one. (NOTE: you will have to change your email address on the NEW account. You can only have one account with the same email address at a time. I'm relatively sure you could use a bogus email address for this purpose, but remember... THAT'S how you sign into the new account. Personally, I think at that point, I'd leave THIS account alone. ;-) ) Log out and Sign onto your old account (old email address and password): To change an email address, username, or avatar (among other things): 1) Make sure you're signed onto that profile. 2) Go to your profile (click "View my profile & activity" in your info box, top right of page). 3) Click Edit my profile/avatar (Should take you to MY SETTINGS tab) Skip to #7, if you only want to change your email address. 4) To change your nickname: Enter your new nickname (if you checked the keep me anonymous, you will need to uncheck that box... It will no longer be available, but you can always change the name to "anonymous".) 5) To change your avatar: Click on the "Click here to change" beside your current avatar. You may select one of the default avatars, or click BROWSE. (For this option, you new avatar MUST exist on your computer.) Navigate to it, select it, and click OPEN. This will upload the avatar to your profile. 6) Click SUBMIT. 7) To change your email address: Click on the grayed "Account". 6) Change your email address. You must enter it twice. Check if you wish to display it to the public in your public profile. Click SUBMIT. Viola! Done.
