No not really... You may know the person but also stay away for certain things because you know her... On the other hand flirting with a stranger you may not worry about what you say... You do not have as much to loose.

screw flirting. go up there and ask em for a date. i gave up flirting when i was 18. (im only 22 now) but its done wonders for my sex life

Do you find it hard to flirt with someone you REALLY fancy, but easy to flirt with someone you DON'T fancy? - yep thats me, it's almost as if I don't want to embarass myself in front of them or I don't want them to not like me/find me weird. It's stupid tho, when I am in a flirty mood I flirt with everyone, except the person I want to!!!
