  • No my ear doesn't feel stuffy, and I don't think my hearing has ever been muted in that ear. Sometimes I feel like it itches on both sides of my throat while one ear is. I don't know if it has anything to do with my tonsils or if they should be taken out? It just gets irritating after awhile and people get annoyed of me having to make that noise in the back of my throat to make it calm down some.. =/
  • I have been suffering from the same problem and was wondering wether you had figured out what the cause of your prroblem has been or wether a doctor had diagnosed why this has been happening to you.
  • I had that when I was beginning a cold. The doc said it was a kind of fungal infection - so do get it checked out.
  • I get this and have to take antihistamines from the doctor. It sounds like an allergy to something. I get my allergy in the winter and spring but not in the summer when it's warm and dry. It's best to see your doctor and explain the symptoms.
  • YES!!!! This is quite normal. I have the exact same problem. How do I get rid of it? My doctor says its my imagination but I'm not CRAZY, I call it a throat throb.
  • my dad has done that sience i can rember and i have done it as well :) for me and my dad its an allergic reaction to spores in cirten foods, mostly in fruit that is out of season and all mellons (except watermellon) also in soy milk and for my dad its also in honey.
  • Everyone I know who has this happen DOES have allergies. Certain foods set it off. Are you sure you aren't allergic to something? Have you had allergy testing done? Or simplify your diet and leave most things out and see if it goes away. If it does, reintroduce foods one at a time and see if you have a reaction. If it isn't allergy related, then it could be viral, bacterial, or fungal. A healthy throat doesn't just itch for no reason.
