If no one scores in a baseball game and both teams run out of pitchers, what is the outcome?

    It can be called and continued at a later date if the Umpire crew decides the game has run too long (usually in excess of six hours), and the managers must use non-designated-pitchers as pitchers.

    This situation will never result in a tie; the MLB rules state that the game must be completed.

    Most likely each side would use a position player that had pitching experience in their earlier career and the game would be over in short order.
