What happens when a spouse does not pay the mortgage on your house and your name is not on the mortgage only the deed?

You lose the house if the mortgage forecloses.
But it does not go on your credit rating and they
do not seek you to pay the loan.

- so what does the deed do only show ownership. so what your saying is that they will only go after the person, who's name is on the mortgage
