  • They're insecure
  • Maybe they would like to get a wide opinion to their question there are alot of people that are here and maybe someones advice can help them or atleast guide them in the right direction. Im not sure what questions you are talking about either. I think most questions are answered in one way or another.
  • this is answerbag so maybe they expect an answer no matter how stupid their Q is.
  • just for fun
  • You know, this has long been debated on here! People do actually ask silly questions that we can't possible answer correctly about themselves and their children, as well as their pets. Take for the example, 'Am I pregnant?' How could we, as users, know? I think that basically these people are looking for reassurance. Either that or they're bored. They're probably hoping that if they ask a question about their pet, eg. 'why does my cat have runny eyes', that somebody will answer and say that their cat had a similar problem, and it was nothing more than a cold that resolved itself. Some people can't afford vetinary care, and aren't eligible for financial assistance so perhaps they're hoping somebody on AB could offer advice from their own personal experience. For example, in England, if my cat had a chest infection right now, and I couldn't afford vetinary care, I'd be stuck. The PDSA is supposedly meant to help, but they're actually not that helpful (underfunded charity). Luckily I can afford to take my cats to the vet if they need to go, but many can't.
  • dogs are not people.
  • sometimes boredom or curiosity. good question though<3
  • because like a drunk sorority girl with 'daddy issues' they crave negative attention
  • I really dont know..maybe they need advice form ppl they dont know..:p Some ppl, actually like to get help from other cause they think its what everybody else thinks to x]
  • Who knows. Possibly as an excuse to get into arguments with people who answer them. It happens to me frequently.
  • I ask questions that are effecting and or affecting me and my life..I ask them because I need help and or advise...I ask them here and in this form for many reasons that I don't care to share with you or anyone else..And if it bothers you go on to the next question..There's many more to chose from. +++Peace+++
  • I know what you mean. Maybe they are seeking reassurance thatt they are making the right choice. Maybe they aren't good at making choices on their own so they figure they will ask a question about their situation and will go with the majority answer. The ones though that really get to me though are the ones in which they give very little information on a situation and expect you to give a good answer. Example My boyfriend/husband/girlfriend/wife switched from an itemized cell phone bill to a bill that doesn't display all the numbers they call or that call them could they be cheating? People who ask questions like that have some extremely serious trust issues and if they are so insecure that they think something like that means their partner is hiding something on them then maybe they need to get out of the relationship and stop asking us for our opinion on whether or not something like that indicates their partner is cheating on them.
  • Maybe because they cannot think of anything intellegent to ask????? seems strange to ask a question that can only be answered by yourself!
  • reassurance controversy perhaps because they really can't go to anybody in real life curiosity desperation lack of common sense who knows....
