I had a felony expunged from my record in May of this year and I was able to get an apartment. I had to go through an Indianapolis attorney, paid $500 and it is supposedly no longer on my record. Best of luck to you.

Exponged means it no longer exists. It should not be a factor.

My record was expunged when I was 20. I'm now 48, have rented many apartments. Its never come up. In any case, most apartment rental background checks aren't that thorough -- they usually just run a credit check which wouldn't have that type of information. The "have you ever been convicted..." question on the rentall app just gives them the justification to kick you out if you lie and they find out about it by other means (and you're a problem tenant, which is the real concern...)
