The most useful cleaner I have used is Naphtha. It is sold in small amounts as lighter fluid, or at your local hardware in quarts and gallons. I clean guitars with it all the time so it should be fine on your car's finish. Lincoln's of that year use a clear coat finish ( I have a 91 Continental), that will withstand a good rubdown with a cleaner like this.

you can combine baking soda and vinegar together and just take a paper towel, wet it and wipe the spot. vinegar and baking soda is really good for cleaning the battery as well and other things. good luck
