  • Since my account is forever on this site...I am dedicating this question to the passing of a long time friend.
  • I don't know him but I am new to this site. What did he die of? Sorry to hear about your friend.
  • he lived an outlaw life style. he had a good job at the post office. he lived in a vw van with his three legged dog, Max. he lived with girl friends but he would bail when they started talking marriage. He lived with me when his van needed repairs. Once we rented a house together but the landlord got a devorce and wanted his house back. we were only there six months. Then he quit the post office and went to australia. he got a credit card and charged a trip on a ship to australia and various other countries. he got off the ship in sydney and didnt get back on. he was in sydney and he crossed the continent and located in perth. he left his coin collection with another outlaw buddie who sold it and kept the money for himself. so when eric returned seven years later...when the cops and creditors stopped looking for him...he didnt have any nest egg to fall back on. then he stayed with a new outlaw friend, and he died and his family took all of eric's stuff thinking it was the new outlaws stuff. then he worked part time at a theater for over a year and slept in a broom closet until he got fired. then he worked as a care giver and his boss didnt pay him and tried to keep him prisoner. so i helped him escape and he lived on the street. got drunk one night and fell off his bicycle. then that injury got infected and he got bone marrow cancer. the veteran admin took him in and then he had a stroke...then he got pneumonia and died. such a life.
  • I knew Eric through you..we never met in person ; we had a connecting bridge..you. Eric did not live or die alone. You have always been there for him. You're there for me. A phone call away...a friend, unconditional, real friendship. Eric was a lucky man.
