I have a migraine headache. I have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety. Is this a common symptom or could this be a head tumor. This often worries me. The doctor says I need to calm down. What can I take to ease the headache.

    over the counter blue liquad advil works great...prescription options are adviliable(tylonal number 3 with codine) but I would try the advil first...you can get small amounts of codine over the counter (they are called 222's)

    Aside from various relaxation and guided meditation techniques you can use to train your brain not to produce thoughts which produce anxiety, there are also natural calmatives such as Chamomile tea which you might try, to assist with reducing symptoms of anxiety. (Chamomile tea is available in health food stores and most grocery stores, as well).

    Another herb which has been found effective for anxiety is Kava, which you can buy in tincture form at many health food stores.

    I beleive you can get headaces from stress... I do if I cry!1 About the tumor....a doctor would have to check that but I don't think you have one...headaces can be cause because of many rasons..even the weather!!
