Do people who never use capital letters to start sentences know that the omissions make paragraphs look like one huge run-on sentence, and therefore, hard to read?

• Puff is the cat's name, Jodie. And of course they can "help it". Poor grammar skills can be improved just by reading a book, newspaper or magazine, with sentences starting off with a capital letter.

• Lyn, what do you like in your morning coffee? Just curious...(smile). No, I did not author the Dick and Jane series,...I was a bit young. But my mom was a primary teacher. I even had the horrible misfortune of having her as my second grade teacher in our small school. Second grade..."the grade from hell". Of course you know, I never got the "prize" for anything...even when I did the best. Did this warp my future life? I am harrassed with doubts.

• Great. Yep, that was it. But, I do remember getting a lot of phonics. I think I had an enlightened young teacher, fresh out of internship, who was well trained in teaching phonics. I remember a lot of flash cards and making a lot of sounds. And she made a lot of sounds. I was so much in love with her, I never took my eyes off her. (lol)
