Not me:-) I have always like the gentle sweetness of it, the kind of humor, everyday humor that doesn't ridicule other people or rely on huge drama, unreal situations. I also enjoy seeing good people instead of a**holes on tv. Sorry, but I'm old fashioned and I like my humor more on the old fashioned side.

Not me..I love it...over and over and over and over..reruns are the nectar of the gods/goddesses. Opie, Andy, Barney Fife, Aunt Bee. Did you know that the actress who played Barney's girlfriend (her name is Betty Lynn) retired to Mt. Airy, North Carolina..(I think that is the name of the town)..there is a statue of Andy Griffith and Ron Howard there, I believe..anyway, I think it is where Andy Griffith was born or grew up. She loves it there. I'll betcha she's not bored! :)

One of my all time favorites. I don't know why they can't make shows like that anymore. I can't watch the sitcoms that are on TV nowadays.

I enjoy the show and enjoy the reruns I guess because back when I was a child those shows were new and what was popular back then. It sort of brings back a part of the past in a way.

By todays standards yeah, There are no Opeys left.

In those days TV themes were more subdued because of restrictions on it's content.Also the cuts were a lot less prevalent,for instance for each minute back then there might have been 5 cuts or less. Now there is 5 cuts per minute.The show lacked violence,which is good,and it was a story about a small sleepy North Carolina town and it's residents.It was when the US was more family oriented.

i did not like the episode that went from them being a happy pair heading for the lake to fish like in the intro but then it rained and rained for the rest of their licensed season

I agree with you. I hate the Andy Griffith Show. I wish that other shows would take the place of this show.
