I just got a rubber tree plant and want to keep it in the house. I live in Louisiana and the weather is constantly changing so how do I care for the plant in this environment, such as when to water and where to keep it.

You're reading I have a seven foot tall rubber tree plant. I would like to prune it back to three feet. Can this be done without killing it? Can the parts I take off be propagated? If so, how?
