Appeal to one, be to one's liking, as in That joke tickled my fancy. This term uses fancy in the sense of "liking" or "taste."
I think it's about something that will interest you. I saw something that may tickle your fancy. = I saw something that may interest you.
To me it means hilarious nonsense.
