  • Biology, Chemistry and Physics are the first options that one considering a career in Medicine would take. Maths is also classed as a Science, so taking that as well as, or instead of one of the other three sciences is accepted. French, or another language not native to the country you live in, is always a good choice to make if you don't want to take all science subjects, or if you want to do an extra subject, languages are a great idea. In the eyes of a Uni, it takes skill and dedication to master another language well. Many Universities prefer candidates who have a language qualification. You'd really have to check with the establishments you're thinking of applying to though. Learning sign language is desirable, many candidates don't have this skill, it makes you stand out. Sign Language is great as well if you have to deal with a patient who can't hear. The hospital don't have to bother calling an interpreter, making them rely on you more.
