Here is my lazy way. Clean it out completely. Spray everywhere with Easy Off. Let it sit for a bit, then wipe off well, you can just rinse shelfs under water most times. I would sanitize it then, with that new Clorox bleach spray, since it is food safe after it dries. Let it dry, and you are done.
Btw, Easy Off is great on most dirt, thats what I use on the kitchen floor and oven and super dirty dishes.
I try to wipe up spills and sticky spots as they happen so I don't have to clean it as often, and baking soda left open in a box or dish helps with freshness.
I when I do get a cooler, and empty everything from one or two shelves into it, and clean the shelf in a sink of hot soapy water, and as I'm putting stuff back, I make sure nothing is expired and that all the containers are clean on the outside.
I'm not sure if it's the easiest way, but it's less daunting than emptying everything, cleaning it and putting every thing back... it also allows me to stop if I want after any stage and finish later if I want to, or need to
Thats easy, just hose it out with a garden hose.

The easiest way would be to dunk it in a vat of lye and then rinse it realy well.

I haven't noticed it. Our floor is so old and bad and with my mother's cooking, there is a layer of grease on it and dishes, that Easy Off is the only thing that take the stuff off. I gotta do something, can't spend all day scubbing it.
