yes and i think it will haunt me forever.
-
Sure. Happened almost ten years ago, and takes about ten seconds for me to start crying.
-
Yup. Still feel guilty 9 years on. x
-
of course, it is called traumatic for a reason.. it will always be with you.
-
I don't think about those sorts of things long enough to allow myself those feelings. Thoughts do come to me occasionally.
-
Yes, there are times that I do get choked up about a traumatic experience that I went through a number of years ago. I have to take a deep breathe and realize that I am over it and I go on.
-
All the time. It's been twenty years...I'm a baby
-
Sure, but that's all it does once in a while, I don't let any of that stuff get in the way.
-
I have just recently begun recovering from one such traumatic event that has left me socially crippled for the last nine years. So....yeah, I guess it's been on my mind for a while...
-
It will never completly go away. It is always in the back of my mind. I only feel completly safe when I am home and my husband is near.
-
My mother died 3 1/2 years ago (6 weeks after diagnosed with the return of breast cancer she had "beat" 13 years earlier). I still cry about it sometimes, but not as frequently anymore.
-
Yep, I cry like a baby.
-
Definatley, it is really hard :(
-
Sure I do. It just isn't easy to let traumatic experiences go.
-
no, I have worked through all of my past trauma.
-
as pumba would say... you've gotta put your behind in your past. no matter what has happened to me I kep going and do not let it hinder me. the only 2 things that get in the way of my happiness are my wife's health at the present time and the lack of money at present or forseeable future. other than those things nothing gets me down. the problem is that both those things are always horrible and make eachother worse.
-
When I am in the quiet of my home, when all have hit the sack for the night........The sights and sounds of war creep into my mind, I know how and what I must do to decompress these images and thoughts, yes I get choked up and I am not embarassed to say, I cry!
-
yes those horrible feelings come right back to bite me on my bum!! :(
-
When you have seen friends die young in the military it always chokes me up on Remembrance Day and usually brings a tear to my eye thinking about what life would have been if they had lived.
-
I still remember some, but I don't let the ones I remember get to me.
-
Yes, but since it happened I learned to defend myself and face the fears when they come.
-
It annoys me often. It was merely mentally traumatic.
-
yes ... i'ce had many so theres a lot to be misarable about
-
Yeah. I do. Probably always will.
-
Yeah. I got molested when I was a little boy. Even news stories about this subject can cause me to lose it.
-
Ah, definitely, you get this sick feeling thinking about it. But then you remember you have to move on from the incident... life does not revolve around it, after all. Life changes and is full of delightful surprises. Like Answerbag. :) hehe
-
I've had a couple of very traumatic experiences that still choak me up to this very minute ... whenever I think about one or the other of them.
-
I don't choke up, but I have experienced palpitations if I'm in a situation that reminds me of the traumatic experience.
